Cancer Testing Services CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company. We are dedicated to researching, recording and educating the community about early cancer diagnosis and offering blood tests or other tests that will lead to an increase in the early diagnosis of cancer with a principle target but not exclusively of prostate cancer. The charity offers opportunities to be involved in office admin, public event admin and clinical teams including phlebotomy and training phlebotomists. All Event admin and phlebotomists are volunteers who receive expenses including travel. Fund raising is important as is the sale of other health tests as any profits are reinvested to offer tests free or hugely discounted in areas of deprivation. Events may be at regular clinics or at venues like Golf Clubs, Social clubs, village halls or spaces where community gathers in numbers. We encourage friendly, professional and efficient teams of volunteers who can demonstrate care and reassurance whilst sharing in a group of volunteers who are friends.
